Public Transport
Busses come from several train stations to Dokkum regularly. People travelling from Groningen are advised to travel by train to Veenwouden (train from Groningen to Leeuwarden) and take a bus from Veenwouden to Dokkum.
- From train station Leeuwarden –take bus line 50 in the direction of Dokkum
- From train station Veenwouden –take bus line 53 in the direction of Dokkum
- From train station Groningen – take the train to Leeuwarden, get off in Veenwouden and take bus line 53 in the direction of Dokkum
Shuttle Service
A shuttle service is available between the bus station in Dokkum and the festivalgrounds.
Friday: between 16:00 - 21:00 hrs
Saturday: 11:00 - 15:00 hrs and 21:00 - 23:30 hrs
Sunday: between 10:00 - 13:00 hrs
Kiss and Ride (drop off and pick up) Are you being dropped off or picked up by someone? You can meet your ride at a walking distance from the festivalgrounds. This spot is marked: 'Kiss and Ride' location. This is also the location to get on or off the shuttle service and a taxi stand.
By car
During the period of the festival the traffic route will be adjusted to achieve a smooth stream of traffic. There will be traffic controllers and road signs. Please, turn off the pleasant voice on your Tom Tom and do not pay attention to your planner. Please DO follow the instructions of our controllers and the signs.

From Leeuwarden Take national route N355, Leeuwarden from the direction of Hardegarijp. Follow the N355 to the exit Dokkum. Take this exit, follow the N361 untill you reach the first roundabout in Dokkum. Take the third turn in the direction of Holwerd, onto the N356. In Dokkum follow the N356 to Holwerd / Ameland (roundabout), continue following the N356. Finally the roadsigns will direct you towards the festivalgrounds.
From highway A7, Drachten Take exit 30 on the A7 in the direction of Dokkum / Burgum / Leeuwarden, and follow the national road N31. Follow the N31 up to the exit Burgum / Dokkum. Take this exit and drive onto the N356. Follow the N356 till Dokkum. In Dokkum follow the N356 in the direction of Holwerd / Ameland (roundabout), continue following the N356. Finally the roadsigns will direct you towards the festivalgrounds.
From Groningen Take the national route N355 from Groningen by Zuidhorn. Follow the N355 till the exit Kollum. Take this exit onto the N910. Follow the N910 till Dokkum. In Dokkum take a right turn towards Holwerd / Metslawier, onto the N361 op. Follow the N361 till the exit Holwerd / Ameland. Take this exit. In Dokkum take the N356 to Holwerd / Ameland (roundabout), continue following the N356. Finally the roadsigns will direct you towards the festivalgrounds.
