3 inches of Blood from Canada is often talked about and then in particular the typical high vocals of the singer Cam Pipes. A very welcome addition if you have been missing King Diamond or Rob Halford as ‘Gods’ of the metal scene. Raw high screams in combination with an occasional brutal grunt give this band a very fresh sound. On their latest album ‘Here Waits Thy Doom’ the band stays closer to the classical metal sound than previously and ‘Pipes’ singing is more up front. However, the guitar work from the duo Justin Hagberg and Shane Clark is just as important.
